One person, building apps.

Tristonia is a one-person Android studio. There's no team and no roadmap meetings. I pick the ideas I can't stop thinking about and build them properly.

Who I am

The apps I wanted and couldn't find.

I'm an indie Android developer, and Tristonia Ltd is where my apps live. If it's on Google Play with the Tristonia name on it, I've been through every screen of it on my own phone first.

How I work

Notice something. Think it through. Then build it.

Most of my apps start with something small that bugs me, or an idea that won't leave me alone. I work out how it should look and feel, build it, test it on my phone until it feels right, and then put it on Google Play.

I try to keep each app to the one thing it's for. No dark patterns and no long list of features you won't use, just an app that does what it says without wasting your time.

What I care about

Four things I try
to get right every time.

Creativity

I don't want to make another app that looks like all the others. If there's a more fun way to do something, that's the one I go for.

Simplicity

You shouldn't need a tutorial. If you have to stop and think about how to use it, then I haven't got it right yet.

Privacy

Your data is yours. Wherever I can, everything stays on your phone, and most of the apps don't need an account at all.

Quality

I would rather spend an extra week on something than put it out before it feels finished.
